Air Hogs Zero Gravity Micro – Yellow Rally Car Ch D
The Air Hogs Zero Gravity Micro is a very unique and innovative product from Air Hogs. Being made by Air Hogs, you can always expect crazy new products, and the Zero Gravity Micro is no exception. This tiny little vehicle of only 4.75 inches by 2.5 inches has a built vacuum system, which allows it to not only ride on the floor, but on the wall and ceiling. I really consider this car a two in one deal. It essentially has two modes, the ceiling and wall mode, in which case the fan is on; and then ground mode is which case the fan is off.
Now, you might be wondering what the big deal with fan being on and off is. Obviously the suction slows down the car and with the option to turn it reduces the resistance and therefore the car becomes faster. For a car meant to scale ceilings and walls, the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Micro is surprisingly fast when you turn off suction, and even with the suction on, it is still extremely fast. Frankly, I’ve had other R/C cars that were slower than my Air Hogs Zero Gravity Micro when the suction was turned on. The Zero Gravity Micro can also literally turn on a time. The vacuum suction allows it complete a 360 degree spin, definitely beats any other R/C car in terms of handling!
The Air Hogs Zero Gravity Micro is charged via the controller, which contains 6 AA batteries. On average I found that the charge lasted around 10 minutes. For something that I assume requires a lot of energy to operate, 10 minutes seems like a very long time, and I was VERY impressed to say the least. Another thing I thought was good was the fact that the Air Hogs Zero Gravity is quite light for an R/C car, that way if it loses power while it is on the ceiling or wall it won’t damage itself as lighter objects done fall as hard.
As for drawbacks, the only one I can think of is the noise. The noise can be quite loud while it is in suction mode, but it regular mode it is quiet. Being controlled by an infrared controller gave it good distance, considerably better than that of the Zero Gravity Laser.
Overall, I can’t say anything bad about the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Micro. I like everything about it, even down to the design! It is an awesome toy that gave me hours of fun.
